SUMMER MAKEUP LOOKS Pt. 1

Hi ladies, do any of you have a summer time makeup regimen? Do you  trump the stick foundation for a tinted moisturizer?  Are you more inclined to rock your bronze glow? Do you prefer a lighter color palette or are you like a kid in a candy store at your local Sephora or cosmetic counter? Well I am giving you an overload of all of the above and then some, if you have any tricks or tips to share, please leave a comment.  Enjoy and Be Inspired!

If a softer palette is your preference then look no further, just because you prefer a softer look does not mean you can't play with color or texture, a subtle shimmering eye shadow, a colorful eyeliner, a pink/peachy gloss or a nude plum gloss and voila, you've amped up your look from soft to saucy! When it comes to eye shadows, "experiment with the colors you are most comfortable with", color is big this season and you should definitely use it for inspiration. Rich hues brighten up darker skin tones, ladies who are medium to fair needn't not shy away either.

Who says the eyes have to get all the attention? Lip action is an absolute must, whether you're a gloss or glaze girl or a lipstick / lip stain chic, all possibilities are endless. The image of model Eva Pigford (bottom left), rocking the reddish-orange lipstick; I use to think that color only looked good on certain skin tones but when my sister tried on a similar color at the MAC counter it looked absolutely gorgeous on her warm brown complexion, she said it's definitely not a color she'd wear everyday but more so on occasion when she wants to spice up her look. Don't be afraid to try on a  color that you normally wouldn't think you could pull off, you may just be pleasantly surprised. ** Note, red lipsticks are known to be drying, so I'd recommend applying a balm and then blotting before applying your lipstick, or after you've put on your lipstick apply the balm or a glaze or even a tiny bit of gloss in the same color family to the inner center of your lips as well.** On another note the top right image in the 2nd collage of that ebony beauty in the black background is just stunning, I would love to have that image blown up and put on my wall, I love how the gloss on her lips just shines against her skin...yes, all shades of black are definitely beautiful!

Ladies, have fun with your makeup, you can be as au natural, minimalist, daring and edgy with makeup as you want to be, play up cheek color, eye color, eye liner and lips, a shimmering eye and a red lip for evening or day, a peachy-pink / nude lip gloss, and a deep coral blush with a bronzer for day, for that sun kissed look, do not forget the bronzer, do invest in a good bronzer ladies, they give the face depth and warmth, and remember bronzers aren't just for warmer months, they should be a year round staple / essential in your cosmetic bag...now you're on your way to the perfect glow.
